New Balance MR1225 - Great for diabetic feet! November 27, 2009 B. Jackson 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
The New Balance MR1222-1225 series were recommended by a foot doctor. I use them for walking, not running. They are very well made and last a long time. I am a diabetic and had painful plantar fasciitis. I went to several foot doctors, got injections, but the pain kept getting worse. These running shoes have made a huge difference. When paired with Spenco orthotic inserts and wigwam shocks (no painful seams), my feet feel great. I highly recommend them. Hope they help you, too.
Great stability shoes right out of the box January 15, 2010 Robert C. Rodriguez (Miami,FL) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I am extremely satisfied with the 1225's. Right out of the box I found them extremely comfortable and ready to go. I took them out for a 7 mile run and thought they were great. Excellent cushioning, but not too soft and definitely not too hard on each footfall. I tend to suffer from shin splints and I think these shoes have helped me stabilize my gait and neutralize my shin splints. I also really like the styling (shoe laces do not come undone), color scheme and reflecting features (good for night running). I highly recommend them if you're someone who needs a stability shoe or even if you are a mild to medium overpronator who needs a stable but not heavy shoe.
Perfect Balance January 28, 2010 Joshua Davy (Western, MD) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have had the last two versions of the 1220 series and upgraded to the 1225's. These are a great balance of cushioning and support. Great for heavier people or people that have hard steps. Was dealing with plantar fascitis for a bit after my long runs and the support and cushioning in these helped me get rid of it. Would definately recommend to all.
NB1225 = best running shoe I've ever owned April 26, 2010 Bic (CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have wide feet and am 6'-4', 240, so need lots of cushioning. I use these mainly for trail runs/light hiking and these blow away every other pair of shoes I have ever owned. Very light weight and breathable. Am buying several more pairs as I can't believe how comfortable they are. Durability for trails isn't the best (but I'm not complaining). NB makes great products and I've always loved their wide range of styles/sizes. As such, will remain a loyal buyer.
Highly recommended.
Nice update on the 1220 series October 16, 2009 L. Blasiman (Canton, Ohio USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've got the last two of the 1220 series and find the 1225 much like the others. The shoe provides a blend of lot's of support and lot's of cushioning. I also like the fact that New Balance offers a size 15. So many of the different running shoes seem to run pretty small anymore and I've found that I have to keep going up to get a shoe that fits.
